Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Write a Statement of Purpose (SOP) that explains your motivation for pursuing graduate study, your research interests, and your experience. Mention any faculty research that interests you. Keep it under 1,000 words if you are applying for the MS in Chemistry.

For the Master of Science in Economic Development, your SOP should explain why you want to study economic development and start a career in this field. This program focuses on improving communities through business development in the US.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

You need to submit three letters of recommendation. At least two should come from people who can assess your academic performance and readiness for graduate study. It is best if these letters are from faculty members, especially for the Master of Arts in Political Science.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A résumé is required as part of your application.
