The university recommends that high school students take a strong college-preparatory program before joining WMU. Application Process for Western Michigan University

Step One: Additional Documents Required

Step Three: Application Fees for This Course

Western Michigan University offers a payment plan option for each semester. This plan allows students to pay the total amount in several installments. A convenience fee of 2.85% or $3, whichever is larger, is charged for each credit/debit card transaction.

For the Fall and Spring semesters, students can choose a four (4) or six (6) payment plan, spreading payments throughout the semester. For Summer I and Summer II, there is a single payment plan that allows students to pay in two installments for each session.

Students must enroll at least one day before the first payment is due. Payment plans are available about four to five weeks before a semester begins.
