Students must have graduated from a recognized high school or obtained a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) before starting college. They should also have completed the following minimum courses: 4 units of English, 1 unit of United States history, 1 unit of laboratory science, and 1 unit of physics or chemistry (preferably both). Additionally, they need 4 units of mathematics, which includes algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and one extra year beyond algebra II, such as pre-calculus with trigonometry.
