Students must have graduated from an approved high school or have a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) by the time they enroll. They also need to complete these minimum courses: 4 units of English, 1 unit of United States history, 1 unit of laboratory science (and preferably 1 unit of physics or chemistry), and 4 units of mathematics which should include algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and an additional year beyond algebra II (like pre-calculus that includes trigonometry).
