The annual maintenance allowance for the United States and other nations is INR 11,54,400, except in the United Kingdom, where it is INR 10,37,687.
The annual contingency and equipment allowance for the United States and other countries is INR 1,14,838 and INR 83,655 for the United Kingdom.
The scholarship also covers miscellaneous charges such as the poll tax, visa fees, tuition fees, Medical Insurance Premium, cost of plane passage, and local tourism.

The following are the minimum requirements for applying for the scholarship:
A minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade in the applicable Bachelor's Degree is required for the Master's Degree. 2 years of work experience in the relevant field is preferred, and those with experience will be given precedence.
A minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade in the applicable Master's Degree is required for the PhD. 2 years of experience in teaching, research, professional development, and management. A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is preferred, and students with prior experience will be given preference.
Minimum of 55% or equivalent grade in relevant Master's Degree and PhD for Post-Doctoral 5 years of research/teaching/professional experience in the relevant subject is preferred since students with expertise will be given precedence.
Here are some basic qualifications that any student must meet:
The age limit is 35 years old as of the first of July of the selection year.
The maximum permitted total family income is INR 6,00,000.
The grant is available to at least two children from the same parent.
Along with these prerequisites, students must meet the minimum score requirements of tests such as IELTS, PTE, GMAT, GRE, and others, and keep in mind that each university has its own minimum ELP and other test score requirements.

For the first time, students applying for this plan must "Register" on the National Overseas Portal.
Complete the student registration form. A text message will be delivered to the registered email address following a successful login.
To check the status, log in again and enter the specified award number and password. Your application status will be displayed as "Pending" or "Submitted" under the 'Check Your Status' option.
After obtaining confirmed acceptance to a foreign educational institution and obtaining the necessary visa, the student must notify the Ministry. Following verification of the admission letter and visa, as well as other required papers, the Ministry will provide the confirmed award letter to the concerned candidate, which will include information about the course, educational institution, and so on.

What is the selection process of the Central Sector Scheme of National Overseas Scholarship for SC?
The National Overseas Scholarship Selection Committee analyzes all applications impartially, and the scholarship is awarded to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Along with it, the National Overseas Scholarship panel focuses on a few other things, which are listed below:
Only applications received before the deadline will be considered.
Students who have already obtained admission to a university in the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and other countries will be given priority, but students who have yet to earn admission to an international university will be considered on a conditional basis.
The unfilled female application slots will be offered to the most qualified women first.
If there are still vacancies available, the oldest candidate will be granted the first open slot, followed by following slots in descending order.
There will be no more interviews or group discussions.
This initiative has been created by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for the benefit of socially oppressed classes so that they can also study abroad. The policy also requires students to return to India after finishing their education and work in a government office for a minimum of five years.
