The Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship 2024 is a joint initiative between the Government of India and the United States that provides opportunities for Indian scholars and professionals to undertake research and teaching on climate change and its impact on society. The program aims to build capacity in India by supporting research in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate modeling, and environmental science. Fellows receive funding for up to nine months of research, as well as travel and living expenses. The fellowship is open to Indian citizens with a doctoral degree or an equivalent professional degree and at least three years of relevant experience.The application process for the 2025-2026 academic year began on January 30, 2024.
