Iowa State University was founded in 1858 when the General Assembly passed the legislation for the Iowa Agriculture College and Model Farm. According to Fall 2023, the college has over 30,000 student enrollments across its undergraduate school with 25,000 and postgraduate enrollment standing at 4,200.
