Students must also present a completed high school diploma or certificate. For international students who finished high school outside the U.S., they must meet specific subject requirements: four years of math (including algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and one course that requires algebra II), and three years of laboratory science (one year each from biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated sciences, or physics). Additionally, applicants need to have: 4 years of math, 4 years of English (not ESL/ELL), 3 years of lab sciences (1 year each from biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated sciences, or physics), 2 years of social sciences (including 1 year of American history), 2 years of the same second language, and 1 year of fine arts or career and technical education. Lastly, to be admitted, students need to be in the top 25% of their graduating class or have a GPA of 3.00 in their competency courses.
