Application Process for Columbia University's Applied Analytics Program

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

• SOP (Statement of Purpose): Write a statement of academic purpose with 500 words or fewer. Discuss why you want to join the program, the skills and attributes you will bring, your current role, and how this program will help you reach your career goals.
• LOR (Letters of Recommendation): Provide two letters of recommendation from current or former supervisors or faculty members who know your academic work and potential. If you are your own supervisor, a client can be your recommender. Personal references are not suitable.
• Essays: Write a supplemental essay of 250 words or fewer. Describe a challenge you faced related to data or analytics and how you resolved it.
• CV (Resume): Submit a resume that includes detailed information about your skills relevant to the program.

• A $45 annual enrollment fee and a $25 enrollment fee per term (Fall, Spring, and Summer terms).
• A $30 fee for any returned payments.
• Up to 5 payments are available for the Fall term plan (enrollment closes after November 26) and the Spring term plan (enrollment closes after April 24).
