Overview

Full Sail University, established in 1979, is a private university located in Winter Park, Florida. Originally founded as a recording studio named Full Sail Productions, the university shifted to offering courses in video and film-making shortly after its inception. The campus moved to Winter Park in 1989 and has since gained accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The university is known for its focus on media and entertainment education.

The campus spans 210 acres and features modern facilities, including a Hollywood-style film backlot, large classrooms, advanced soundstages, and over 110 studios and labs. One of its unique attractions is The Fortress, an esports arena that seats around 500 spectators. Although Full Sail University does not provide on-campus housing, many apartment complexes are located nearby. The university is close to various entertainment options, including theaters, concert venues, and major theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, which are less than 30 miles away.

Other partners include ESPN and Wargaming. The International Student Society at Full Sail fosters community learning and cultural exchange, offering mentorship programs and organizing events for students. Currently, the university serves over 19,000 students and employs more than 2,000 staff members.
