    12th Grade

    Students must have completed high school with a minimum score of 50%. They should meet these course requirements: 4 years of their native language, 3 years of math (including algebra, geometry, and advanced algebra), 3 years of science (with 2 years in biology, chemistry, or physics), and 2 years of social studies (or 3 years for those applying to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). For majors in Liberal Arts and Engineering, 2 years of a foreign language is required, where English can be used if it is not the native language. The minimum GPA needed is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, which is equivalent to: 50% on the General Scale, 6 on a scale of 1-9 for the India School Certificate, B2 for CBSE/CCE on a scale of A1 to E2, and 61 out of 100 or D on a scale of A-I for National Institute for Open Schooling SSSE. Students must submit final official transcripts proving they have completed high school along with their Board Exam results for grades X and XII before enrolling at Iowa State University.
